GX Foundation visits potential project site Hopital General Peltier in Djibouti

The working team of GX Foundation visited Hopital General Peltier in Djibouti for Mobile Eye Treatment Centre(METC) set up planning for the Cataract Blindness Elimination Project in Djibouti.
The Hopital General Peltier was selected as a pilot site based on accessibility for patients and the availability of technical support to accommodate the fully equipped METC unit. Two METCs will park at the Hopital General Peltier to work towards eliminating backlogged cases of cataract blindness in elderly populations.
GX also demonstrated the use of the global patient management information system to the local healthcare practitioners. Djibouti and GX teams will rediscuss to draw out the roles and responsibilities for data collection.
