To continue strengthening health resilience-building efforts in the community, throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, GX Foundation has launched a second phase of pulse oximeters distribution throughout the Hong Kong community. GX partnered with the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) to distribute pulse oximeters to 20 organizations in total across the city. This will enable caregivers to provide home-based monitoring of elderly people and COVID-19 patients, to strengthen the independent and effectiveness of home-based care, and alleviate burden on hospitals during difficult times.
The Oximeter User Guidelines is available here:

GX was pleased to meet with representatives of Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in Morocco. The foundation was established and inaugurated by The King of Morocco Mohammed VI to undertake large-scale action against poverty and social inequalities by rallying individuals and community-based forces within a Moroccan social pact. One of its key projects is to deploy mobile medical teams to serve the needs of people in remote areas of Morocco. The teams are composed of different specialties, including eye health. GX CEO Prof. Emily Ying Yang Chan shared about GX overseas initiatives, medical humanitarian activities, and discussed opportunities for collaboration. We sincerely thank Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for the hospitality, and look forward to engaging with partners in Morocco in the coming few years.
